The History of Barlow Justice

Barlow Justice mini logoBarlow Justice Limited, is a Dunedin based company originally established in 1976, when O B Smith and John Barlow formed the partnership of Smith & Barlow.

In 1999 our company cemented a long-standing relationship with a group of other similar property firms throughout New Zealand by the establishment of Valuersnet NZ Limited, to enable us to tender for property assignments on a national basis.  To date we have been successful in completing large assignments for the Department of Corrections and the Department of Conservation.

Our work involves all forms of valuations from residential, commercial and industrial to hotels, motels and all types of rural and lifestyle property.  Because of our wide base of clients, we are called upon to advise on every aspect involving property.  This diversity of experience includes valuations of research campuses like Invermay, police stations throughout the lower South Island and New Zealand prisons and court houses.  Assignments have been geographically diverse also, leading to property inspections as far north as North Cape and to Bluff in the south. Valuations on Stewart and Chatham Islands have also been completed.

John Barlow and Erle Justice have since retired, and Barlow Justice Limited, under the leadership of Ah-Lek Tay, together with AnthonyTaylor, combine to form a highly skilled team with the company's 30 years of property experience both in the Otago region and nationally.
